Nixalon Studios has released the launch trailer for Western Rye, which they plan to release soon in early access on PC via Steam. The new title is positioned as an open-world survival and crafting adventure.
The events of Western Rye will unfold in the Wild West. Players will engage in typical survival genre activities – building, crafting, setting up a farm, traveling, and gathering resources:
Explore a living, breathing world with wildlife: from a bustling town and deep caves to abandoned settlements. Trade with local NPCs, interact with dynamically changing factions, and create your own story in the vastness of the Wild West, rising from a desperate outlaw to a legendary figure leaving your mark on history.
Some compared the game to Red Dead Redemption before its release, and the developers clarified that one should not expect Western Rye to be on the same level as RDR:
We are *** not Red Dead Redemption, not even close! We don't have millions of dollars and tens of thousands of employees. Western Rye is a modest survival game with a storyline and missions, a stunning world to explore, and online co-op for up to 4 players.

The developers are not yet ready to say exactly how long the game will remain in early access, with an approximate estimate of "at least two years."
