Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Adds Remake of Cult Map from "Heroes 3" and Fixes Bugs - Thirteenth Patch Released

News 0

The developers of Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era continue to refine the game in "early access." They recently released the thirteenth patch (or v. 0.80.45), which aims to fix some technical issues and also includes new content.

Now, in Olden Era, you can play on one of the most popular maps for "Heroes of Might and Magic 3" — "Mysterious Island" is now available. The remake was created by map designer Papyjama, and this is not the final version; the map will be further developed:

This is a large-scale map with six available factions, narratively referencing Jules Verne's famous novel. The story of "Mysterious Island" is just beginning — the map's plot will be expanded as necessary mechanics, such as an underground level, are released!

Some other changes and improvements:

  • Fixed a bug where periodic effects activated by the Plague Lich's "Embrace of Death" ability continued to deal periodic damage on subsequent turns.
  • The "Summoning Ritual" abilities of Ra'shoths, Great Shoths, and Void Messengers (as well as their upgraded versions) can no longer create more creatures from a friendly creature's corpse than were in the target squad at the start of combat.
  • Fixed bugs of varying severity that led to asymmetric generation of competitive templates.
  • The tooltip for the squad deletion button now correctly disappears from the screen.
  • Players are no longer thrown onto the adventure map when the day changes on the city screen.
