Remedy Entertainment continues to support its main games. Almost three years after the release of Alan Wake 2, the studio released a major update 1.2.10 with support for new technologies and improvements for PC.
The main new feature is official support for AMD FSR 4. The technology is integrated into the FSR Super Resolution setting and is automatically enabled on compatible graphics cards. AMD FSR Frame Generation support has also been added, improving image smoothness.
The update improves Opacity Micromaps and Shader Execution Reordering by using Agility SDK. The developers also fixed audio synchronization, bugs, and crashes on various platforms.
Alan Wake 2 was released at the end of 2023 and sold over 3 million copies. The game received two story expansions.
