Recently, the developers of "Sparta 2035" reminded everyone of themselves again. The "Video Game Industry Development (RVI)" community drew attention to a new project by the creators of the Russian tactics.
As it turned out, part of the team that previously worked on "Sparta 2035" is now developing "new projects in a new genre." Gleb Durnovo, the project leader, explained that these will be small indie games with a short development cycle.
The first game will be a billiards-based roguelike called Pocket Run, in which players can expect the genre's characteristic "crazy build-making and runs that are unlike each other."
Gleb said that the choice of genre is primarily due to the game design expertise of the team's game designers:
Hundreds of hours have been played, we understand what's fun in this genre and how to make, if not a hit, then a solid, commercially successful game. The development time and budget also look very attractive – after the enormous in every sense "Sparta 2035," we want to work on a project with a shorter development time until release. And, importantly, this genre has a very favorable ratio of development costs to potential profit.
Pocket Run does not yet have a specific release date.
