In August, Walnut studio, known for CASE: Animatronics and other games in the horror franchise, appealed to players. The developers announced an expanded version of the original game – they published a trailer, screenshots, and opened a page on Steam:
Hello everyone! Our team presents CASE: Animatronics Redux - a fresh and new look at the first part, which was loved by all players and fans of the CASE game series.
In CASE: Animatronics Redux, players will be offered to take on the role of Detective John Bishop, who was working late at night. He receives a call from an old “friend”, after which a normal shift turns into a struggle for survival:
The precinct plunges into darkness. The security system is hacked. All exits are blocked. But that's not the main problem. The real threat is already inside. Red eyes gleam in the shadows, and the screech of metal is heard in the concrete corridors.
The developers promise that the animatronics will become smarter, faster, and deadlier – their behavior has been updated, and there will be sudden events. Gameplay mechanics related to stealth and hiding have also been improved (more shelters, etc.), new mini-games have been added, and there are several endings. The police station has been expanded: new rooms and secrets have appeared.
You can add CASE: Animatronics Redux to your Steam wishlist via this link. The developers have not yet specified a concrete release date for the game, and it does not have a release window either.
