Those who recently pre-ordered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 gained access to the shooter's beta test. Players will be able to try out a piece of the campaign, as well as several multiplayer game modes.
A user under the nickname DANNYonPC noticed an image on a truck. He believes that the developers "are again using AI-generated content."
The developers themselves confirmed the use of AI tools on the game's Steam page:
Our team uses generative AI tools for the development of some in-game materials.
Reviews for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta are "mostly negative," with a rating of 38%. Players complain about optimization, the use of TMP 2.0, and some find the gameplay too fast.
However, the negative reviews and criticism for using AI technologies did not prevent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 from breaking into the top sales on Steam this weekend.
The current sales chart looks as follows (it is based on revenue volume, and weekly results may vary):
- How to Fish
- Counter-Strike 2
- WARDOGS
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4
- Steam Machine
- Mortal Shell II
- Dota 2
- Apex Legends
- HELLDIVERS 2
- Big Walk
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled for release on October 23, 2026.
