Recently, a new teaser trailer for the second season of the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 was published online. Some fans of the game Cyberpunk 2077 carefully study the frames and notice familiar details.
As it turned out, the video features a canonical puddle from the CD Projekt RED game — it is shown at the very beginning of the video, and a character's hand falls into it.
A user with the nickname DeceptiousPhil noticed this moment. Players can find this puddle in Cyberpunk 2077 right in front of the Afterlife club if they wish.
CD Projekt RED noticed the observant fan and praised him: "You know Night City like the back of your hand, choom."
Also, some Cyberpunk 2077 fans were drawn to the frames with chips (Relics) — a theory emerged that several engrams (human consciousnesses) might be recorded on them. Representatives of CD Projekt RED have not yet commented on this point.
The premiere of the second season of the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is scheduled for October 20, 2026.
