At the end of August, beta testing for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 began on consoles and PC. So far, only players who pre-ordered have been able to access the shooter.
Dataminers also got acquainted with the project. The game files apparently contain the NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction model. The author of the YouTube channel "ultra+" noticed the find and decided to conduct testing:
I was browsing the NVIDIA subreddit and found that the DLL file for DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction is already available for download. I was curious how version 4.5 looks compared to the current DLSS 4, so I did a quick comparison.
ultra+ noted that the DLL file was signed in June 2026, meaning this may not be the final version of DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction.
Due to YouTube compression, it may not be very visible, but according to ultra+, during gameplay, "even in this unofficial version, the difference is really noticeable." At the same time, the performance loss is approximately the same as with DLSS 4. In version 4.5 RR, texture clarity is higher and there is less "noise".
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled for release on October 23, 2026.
