Mewgenics was released on PC via Steam in early 2026. The new game from the creator of The Binding of Isaac received "very positive" reviews from players, and it seems console versions will be available soon.
Users noticed the Mewgenics page in the Xbox store: it is already filled out, and a list of 53 achievements from this game appeared in the trueachievements database (the Steam version has 281). The release date for Xbox Series X|S was listed as "September 8, 2026."
The developers have not made any announcements yet, so players assume there has been a leak. They expect the full console version to be announced at Gamescom.
It is unlikely that the release will be limited to Xbox Series X|S only: earlier this year, the creators of Mewgenics showed the game running on Nintendo Switch 2 consoles, as well as on PlayStation 5.
Recently, the developers announced the start of beta testing for the Russian localization of Mewgenics. It does not yet have a specific release date – it will exit beta when the translators "are confident that [the localization] is fully ready to see the light of day."
