Mojang and Xbox presented a new video for the sequel to the Diablo-style action RPG, released in 2020. The main focus of the trailer was the mysterious rifts that had previously appeared in the game's materials. It is now known that they lead to a new dimension called Sift, created specifically for the second installment.
Sift is noticeably different from the familiar world of Minecraft. The developers describe the new dimension as both strange and beautiful. However, a peaceful stroll quickly turns into battles with monsters.
Minecraft Dungeons II still focuses on cooperative gameplay. Players will explore locations together, fight groups of enemies, and use equipment. New enemies and expanded gear customization options are also announced.
The release is scheduled for September 29, 2026, on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
