In a GameSpot review, Fuse Games CEO Matt Webster talked about the multiplayer tour and the pod tour. As in the story mode, participants complete five races, earning upgrades and rewards, and then battle in the final.
Players choose characters with unique features and one of three vehicle types. Before the race, you can take contracts that provide parts and credits. It is also allowed to bet on your own result and receive additional rewards.
Finishing in the top 3 brings a legendary reward, and the finishing position determines the rarity of the parts received. During the race, you can tag rivals and effectively "challenge them to a fight."
Star Wars: Galactic Racer will be released on October 6 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
