FromSoftware has already confirmed that the game will combine PvE and PvP. In each match, 12 players will be able to fight each other and hostile NPCs, and in the finale, three will determine the winner. According to director Hidetaka Miyazaki, it is not necessary to be an “excellent PvP player” to win.
Kin [computer-controlled companions] can be made a more significant part of the game, and the character can be customized to further enhance their power and turn them into those who can fight for you while you take a bit of a backseat.
The mechanic resembles the spirit ashes from Elden Ring. Miyazaki also confirmed that character customization will include the option to choose a playstyle for those who do not want to constantly participate in intense PvP battles.
The Duskbloods is expected to be released on Nintendo Switch 2 presumably in late 2026.
