Since 2017, only one full-fledged game in the series has been released – Gran Turismo 7, which came out in 2022. In an interview with the British automotive magazine Evo, Yamauchi revealed the development timelines.
We also need a very detailed and accurate computer graphics model, including the exterior and interior of the car. It takes us eight months to create both the exterior and the physics of the car's dynamics.
