A "Polish Gothic" has been released on Steam - a dark RPG where player decisions determine their path

Players in Ashes of Kardoria will be able to appreciate authentic Polish voice acting.

Recently, a Polish indie developer presented the project Ashes of Kardoria on PC via Steam. This is a dark role-playing game that some players compared to the cult classic Gothic before its release.

Events will unfold on a "brutal island" suffering from plague, famine, and a growing threat from orcs. The main character will have to hone their skills, choose one of the factions, and fight local threats.

The developer notes that Ashes of Kardoria is not "a story about becoming a hero" — there will be no "right" answers, only consequences of the player's decisions. As the infection spreads and supplies dwindle, tension will rise, leading to war between factions. The threat from orcs will also grow daily.

The author of Ashes of Kardoria will offer players different character development options — it will be possible to choose many combat styles, including: one-handed weapons, two-handed weapons, or one-handed weapons and a shield, with the possibility of ranged combat using a bow. Alchemy will also be available: players will be able to use potions and tinctures to gain an advantage.
