Black Myth: Wukong Experiences a Second Youth - Players Massively Return to the Game

After the first gameplay reveal of the sequel Black Myth: Zhong Kui, the original Black Myth: Wukong attracted new players, and a Steam discount helped the game achieve its best performance in over a year.

A few days ago, the creators of Black Myth: Wukong showed the first gameplay of Zhong Kui, the sequel to Game Science's popular hit. Against this backdrop, players began returning to the original.

Currently, Black Myth: Wukong is on sale on Steam with a 30% discount, which is its lowest price since its release in August 2024. The offer is valid until 17:00 (Moscow time) today.

Thanks to the sale, the game returned to the top ten best-selling games on Steam. The day before yesterday, over 47 thousand people played it simultaneously – the best indicator in over a year. The demonstration of Zhong Kui likely also influenced this result. The sequel is expected to be released in late 2027 or the first half of 2028.
