GTA VI to get a collab with a sports simulator soon? First teaser of new seasons released

News 0

Last year, players were surprised by the Borderlands 4 collab with the golf simulator PGA Tour 2K25 (both projects are published by 2K). Now, a larger-scale event has been announced.

The developers of the basketball simulator NBA 2K27, also published by 2K, released a new teaser dedicated to the seasons. The first and second seasons look ordinary – promo posters show players, but the third season is a completely different matter.

First, a poster with characteristic palm trees appears in the frame, then a police siren and engine sound are heard.

Seasons usually last about six weeks, and the start of the second is expected on October 16, meaning the start of the third season will coincide or be close to the console release of Grand Theft Auto VI. Some players suggest that content in the style of Rockstar Games might be released.

It is not yet clear what will be included in this season. Usually, the battle pass adds currency, cosmetic content, card packs, and consumable "experience boosters." NBA 2K games have a PEGI 3 age rating, meaning they are considered suitable for all age groups, so there will clearly be no "hardcore" content.

Gamers waiting for Grand Theft Auto VI reacted to the teaser. Players suggest that the basketball simulator's technologies could have been used in the new GTA installment to create a mini-game or match recordings.

The release of NBA 2K27 itself is expected on September 4, not only on consoles but also on PC.
