Did Rockstar want to mock The Last of Us in GTA VI? Players pointed out hypocrisy

In GTA VI materials, players found a joke aimed at The Last of Us, but players quickly reminded Rockstar Games that GTA V itself had received multiple new editions.

Among the materials from the latest major GTA 6 leak, a box for a fictional game called We Came Together was discovered. The cover and font clearly resemble The Last of Us, and the inscription on the spine, "remaster of a remake," looks like a jab at the numerous re-releases of Naughty Dog games.

Such humor is characteristic of Rockstar. Previous GTA installments featured iFruit, a parody of Apple, and Righteous Slaughter, a reference to Call of Duty.

Players quickly accused the developers of hypocrisy. GTA V was released on PS3 and Xbox 360, then appeared on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, receiving new improvements.
