Sony reveals Marvel's Wolverine review embargo date - not long to wait

Sony and Insomniac Games have allowed reviews for Marvel's Wolverine to be published almost a week before the game's release on PS5 - the first scores will appear on September 10.

Selected journalists and authors have already received pre-release copies of Marvel's Wolverine. The embargo on publishing reviews will be lifted on September 10 at 6:00 PM Moscow time, while the game's release is scheduled for September 15, 2026.

The early distribution of codes was confirmed by media representatives and Insomniac Games community manager James Stevenson. The developers noted that they wanted to give reviewers enough time to calmly and thoroughly complete the entire game before publishing their materials.

Such an early lifting of the embargo is traditionally seen as a sign of the publisher's confidence in the quality of the project. A similar practice was applied with God of War Ragnarök and other Sony games that received high ratings.
