Publisher Perfect World has revealed its results for the first half of the 2026 fiscal year. The free-to-play urban RPG NTE was released in China on April 23, and the global version launched on April 29. On its first day of global release, the game generated over 100 million yuan.
By June 30, NTE's revenue exceeded 1.4 billion yuan. According to the new financial report, by August 18, this figure reached 2 billion yuan, or approximately $298 million. About 60% of the amount came from the official PC and Android versions. Steam and Epic Games Store were only launched on July 8.
However, Perfect World ended the first half of the fiscal year with a loss of approximately 118 million yuan ($18 million). The company attributed this, in part, to the time difference between large-scale advertising expenses and the recognition of revenue from player purchases.
On August 19, version 1.3 "Rising from the Moonlit Fog" was released, featuring a new map, beaches, swimsuits, and summer content. Its revenues were not included in the published statistics.
