At the end of August, Pearl Abyss studio returned to Crimson Desert and presented patch 2.00.00 for the game, which was called “Crimson Desert Enhanced update” and the game was renamed accordingly. It complements the game's narrative with new cutscenes and story scenes, includes five new voiceovers (still without Russian), new skills, and other improvements.
The developers said that they strengthened the logical coherence of the main story, and lore, items, memory fragments, lines, and dialogues were added to supplement the boss stories.
Also, 8 new Cliff skills have been added — they can be mastered after a certain point in the main story.
The skill mastery system has been improved:
- “Abyss Seal” has been added as a new currency for skill mastery. When one character masters a skill using Abyss artifacts, other playable characters automatically receive Abyss Seals equal to the number of Abyss artifacts used.
- Instead of a full reset of mastered skills, a reset for each character individually is now available.
Some other changes and improvements:
- Added a function that allows you to transfer and use currency and Abyss Seals obtained in the previous save file when starting a new game.
- Fixed an error where item crafting in the Kilnden workshop was not working correctly.
- Fixed an error where the Black Star could be summoned without a cooldown in certain situations.
- Fixed an error where, when caught as a wanted criminal in the Kalfada region during combat, the character was sent to the Kalfada Castle prison.
- Fixed an error where the contribution and currency interface would periodically not disappear during gameplay.
