Paradox announced Afterworld - a grand strategy game about survival in a post-apocalyptic world
The project is being developed by specialists who created Crusader Kings III, as well as Hearts of Iron IV.
Paradox Interactive recently announced Afterworld. Due to an error on the company's forum, some players already knew that such a project was in the works.
The new game is positioned as a unique grand strategy game about survival in a post-apocalyptic world. Development is handled by Paradox Development Studio, known for Crusader Kings III, as well as Hearts of Iron IV.
According to the plot of Afterworld, the old world has perished, and its remains are now a coveted prize. To build an empire, players must first "ensure the survival of the survivors." They will need to extract water, fuel, food, and explore the procedurally generated world of North America.
According to the developers, as the empire grows, Afterworld will transform into "a complex and large-scale strategy in the best traditions of Paradox":
Master new lands and re-develop forgotten technologies. Build settlements, forge alliances, and fight cultists, bandits, and immortal Ancients claiming power over the world.
You can add Afterworld to your Steam wishlist by following this link. The developers have not yet specified a concrete release date or release window for the project on the page.
