Wolcen II, a sequel to the isometric RPG, was presented at the Future Games Show and will be released in early access on Steam in the second quarter of 2027.
The story will tell of a dying goddess whose fate leads to the gradual destruction of reality. A prophecy about a chosen hero will also appear in the story, but the developers hint that everything is much more complicated.
Dynamic battles will remain the main element. Armored warriors break through hordes of undead and giant spiders, the latter being so numerous in the game that the trailer begins with a warning for people with arachnophobia.
As in the first part, there will be no traditional class division. Players will have wide freedom in creating builds and will be able to independently choose ways to fight enemies.
After early access release, the developers plan to develop the game taking into account community feedback. Versions for current consoles are also announced.
