Elden Ring on Nintendo Switch 2 did not avoid compromises. However, a comparison with the PS5 version shows that the port looks decent and will not disappoint console owners.

The first reviews of the Switch 2 version appeared yesterday, and now blogger ElAnalistaDeBits has compared it with the PS5 edition. On Nintendo Switch 2, there is only one mode available with an unlocked frame rate. In practice, the game mostly runs at around 30 fps, although the analysis author expected better optimization.

At the same time, the visual differences from the PS5 are not too noticeable. Sony's more powerful console provides higher quality, but on Switch 2, vegetation and some effects were mostly cut. The overall look of the world has been preserved, and the game still looks good.

Problems arise due to dynamic resolution. In complex scenes, it can noticeably decrease, reducing image clarity. Therefore, the author believes that it is best to play on Switch 2 in portable mode – on a small screen, the shortcomings are significantly less noticeable.
