Firefly Studios is participating in Gamescom. Recently, the developers unveiled a new trailer for the real-time strategy game Stronghold 4, showcasing story scenes and some gameplay moments.
From a chronological perspective, Stronghold 4 will be a prequel to the franchise. This time, the story centers on Penryn, a simple shepherd from Wethel, whose life "collapses overnight, forcing him to go through difficult trials and become a leader." Players will have to unlock the peasant's potential and lead his army to glory.
The initial version of the game will offer a story campaign of 22 missions, as well as a full battle mode with 8 unique AI opponents, free building, and a specially prepared series of battle scenarios.

The developers expect their project to remain in Steam Early Access for about six months, during which content and new features, such as online multiplayer, will be added to the game.
