The Division 2 to get New York expansion - first teaser for Echoes of Central Park
Ubisoft Entertainment is participating in Gamescom 2026. The Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 team made several announcements about future plans for the project.
As it turned out, the game will soon receive another expansion about New York. The DLC is called Echoes of Central Park: according to the plot, the heroes will have to go to Central Park.
During the outbreak, Central Park was used as a mass burial site. The expansion begins with a distress signal coming from somewhere deep within the park. Rumors are spreading throughout the Upper West Side about what lies beyond its gates. Agents will have to investigate these reports, prepare for what awaits them, and eventually enter Central Park to find out what has been happening there since the outbreak. Echoes of Central Park focuses on a darker atmosphere, where fear can be as dangerous as any enemy. What happens when this fear begins to spread? And how do you fight something that cannot always be seen?
The full presentation of the Echoes of Central Park expansion is scheduled for September 24.
Also, the creators of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 announced that they are working on implementing cross-play. The feature will be enabled by default, but players will be able to disable it themselves on the character selection screen if they wish. This feature is expected to be released in November of this year. Clans will become cross-platform and their capacity will be increased from 50 to 100 players.
