The developers of the truck driver simulator Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator continue to tease new features for the upcoming 1.61 update. They will continue to improve various aspects of the graphics.
This time, SCS Software decided to demonstrate improvements to the material system, which appeared with update 1.60. Now the technology will be extended to several other truck models from ETS 2 and ATS. Thanks to the new material system, they will look more realistic and react differently to light:
As a result, the cabin space becomes more detailed and visually pleasing. The differences between materials (leather, fabric, plastic, and metal) will become much more noticeable even in low light.
In Euro Truck Simulator 2, improvements are being prepared for the Volvo FH Series 6 model.
In American Truck Simulator, the International LT and International LoneStar cabins will receive an update. The developers noted that they also refined a number of interior details and completely redesigned the seats to better match their real-life counterparts. In addition, a new Diamond interior option with leather seats will be added for both trucks.
The developers have not yet announced when they plan to release updates 1.61 for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. Currently, they are also continuing to develop add-ons for the games with new locations, as well as buses and regular cars.
