"Ballads of the Past" will be Geralt of Rivia's last adventure, but the story won't be solely dedicated to the witcher. At gamescom 2026, Fool's Theory Creative Director Karolina Kuźia-Rokosz revealed that the expansion will further explore Dandelion – one of Geralt's closest friends.

According to her, Dandelion is Geralt's complete opposite and a person who helps the witcher open up and talk about his feelings.
We wanted to show them together to further explore the theme of friendship and say something more about them. Dandelion is very interesting.
The events will transport players to Dandelion's hometown, Letten. The bard "very, very much needs" Geralt's help. The developers describe the relationship between the two adult and completely different men as a "bromance."
The expansion will also feature Dandelion's cousin, Lilla, who wants to uncover Letten's dark secrets.
