Marvel Tokon producer admits PC version failure: "extremely difficult" to win back players
The producer of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls acknowledged the problems with the PC version and stated that it would be extremely difficult to win back lost players.
The fighting game Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls from Sony faced serious problems at launch, especially on PC. Players complained about optimization, mandatory PSN linking, Sony development tools, and anti-cheat. Against this background, Steam was filled with negative reviews, and after two weeks, only about a tenth of the original audience remained.
The game's producer, Takeshi Yamanaka, did not shift responsibility and acknowledged the problems.
We understand that the problems with the PC version have caused many difficulties for players, and we sincerely apologize for this, but we can promise that we are constantly working hard on future improvements. And we hope that players will stay with us and continue to create more excitement around Marvel Tokon.
At the same time, Yamanaka admitted that winning back the audience would be "extremely difficult." He also thanked everyone who bought the game at launch and specifically apologized to PC players who, due to problems, could not play normally and returned the game.
