In late August, some gamers once again remembered Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time. The classic beat 'em up was released in 1987 on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System platform and can still attract players to this day.
The translator, known as "Govoryashchiy Kot" (Speaking Cat), presented the release trailer for the unofficial Russian localization of this "Ninja Turtles" game:
Finally finished translating one of my favorite Ninja Turtles games - TMNT: Turtles in Time. It was a good experience in translation, as it was not easy to understand the game's resources, although there was very little text in the game. Thanks to Griever and Nikolay Titov from the chief-net forum for their help and tips.
This release will also be interesting for players for whom English is not a problem — "Govoryashchiy Kot" explained that he translated the Japanese version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time, which has additional lines:
The translation was done from the Japanese version, as it additionally contains boss dialogues after their defeat, which are absent in the American version.
There is also a convenient way to select levels:
It is possible to enable the level selection menu by pressing on the second player's controller on the title screen: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, L, R. In the American version, the level can only be selected using a Game Genie device.
