inZOI Creators Complete Long-Overdue Tasks - Game Director Discusses Next Update

News 0

The creators of the life simulator inZOI are preparing for the release of the next update. The project's game director, Kjun, published a diary in which he shared his feelings about the work and revealed some plans.

The developers focused on improving fundamental game systems. For example, autonomous character behavior was refined so that they act in accordance with their surroundings. Basic needs such as sleep and hunger will be satisfied "more naturally"; characters will also sit at the same table with loved ones, and those who can drive vehicles will be able to get into their cars and drive to the desired location themselves.

Kjun said that they also wanted to include a "customer service system" in this update, but the developers did not have time to finish it:

Next week, a prototype of the system will be ready: customers will come, sit at a table, eat, pay for their order, and then leave. More specific scenarios are also being prepared that will prevent establishment owners from casually sitting in customer seats and eating.

Work on inZOI is gradually progressing, and Kjun feels that the team has finally started to complete some tasks that were set a long time ago:

Perhaps our lives are always filled with such small regrets. It's like going home after an exam you studied for all night, and suddenly realizing you made a mistake on a question you knew the answer to. Or saying goodbye to an old friend you haven't seen in years, and then on the way home thinking, "I wish I had said that while I had the chance." Even when we do something with all our might, there's always a feeling that something is missing. In a way, the development of inZOI feels the same. There are things we should have done better from the beginning, and only now does it feel like we are finally completing some of these long-overdue tasks.

The inZOI update is expected to be released on September 3rd.
