The developers managed to prepare fixes, but encountered difficulties uploading the build of KOTAMON: My Sis Found A Super-Rare Card In Her Cereal Box, So I Became A Garbage Man To Find The Entire Collection And Earn $1,000,000.

KotaMota Games recently released another patch for the cozy simulator KOTAMON: My Sis Found A Super-Rare Card In Her Cereal Box, So I Became A Garbage Man To Find The Entire Collection And Earn $1,000,000. The developers made several fixes and improved the interface.

In this game, you have to search for collectible cards in a pile of garbage at a landfill. Duplicates gradually accumulated, and some players immediately sold them, also urging developers to add an option to exchange duplicates for an improved version of the cards. The problem is that this feature was already in the game since its release.

The developers explained how this happened — they didn't have time to create a tutorial:

In fact, [exchanging cards] was possible since the game's release, but because we didn't have time to make a tutorial for it, 99.9% of players didn't even know about this feature. We not only added a tutorial window that will tell new and old players about it, but also added an indication of cards ready for exchange in the collection - now they are highlighted with a yellow border and an arrow icon!

The developers reported that they increased the clarity of "separately pixelated cards," fixed a bug with the disappearance of Nyan-Crunch boxes when buying and entering/exiting the store (cards drop from them), and also adjusted the probability of a suitcase with cosplay dropping.

The creators of KOTAMON also spoke about the problem with uploading builds to Steam — a small comic was dedicated to it:

This is purely developer pain, but we can't help but share it with you. Steam is an incredibly cool platform for games, the best of all existing ones. Everything is convenient, fast, clear… if you are a player. But how annoying is the buggy build uploader, which in 99 out of 100 cases gives an error at the very end of the upload!!!

Currently, the developers of KOTAMON: My Sis Found A Super-Rare Card In Her Cereal Box, So I Became A Garbage Man To Find The Entire Collection And Earn $1,000,000 are preparing for the release of Steam collectible cards.
