Ex-Blizzard President Complains About PlayStation 5 Pro Shortage - Xbox Marketer Reminds of Another Way to Play GTA VI

News 1

The August presentation of "Grand Theft Auto VI: Extended Show" on Netflix attracted a lot of attention. It seems that after this, some rushed to buy a console. It was noted online that PlayStation 5 Pro consoles have practically disappeared from sale (or even sold out).

Former Blizzard Entertainment president Mike Ybarra also encountered this, sharing his experiences on social media:

Well, PlayStation and partners have already sold out of the new PlayStation Pro consoles. Wow. I need one by November...

His post went viral in the gaming community, and Xbox Vice President of Marketing Aaron Greenberg reacted to it, highlighting the advantage of Microsoft's console:

Looks like you won't be playing Gears of War: E-Day this holiday season!? [Xbox] is the only console where you can play Gears, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, and Grand Theft Auto VI.

Mike Ybarra replied that Steam is his priority:

I prefer Steam. I choose Steam first if there's an option. Unfortunately, GTA VI isn't there yet.

GTA VI is scheduled for release on November 19 this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Rockstar Games and Take-Two have not yet announced anything about the PC version's release window.
