Release date announced for "John Wick"-style action game about a hitman-DVD salesman - new Blackwood trailer

News 0

In late August, AttritoM7 Productions studio and IZilla Games publisher presented a new trailer for Blackwood. This is a stylish third-person action shooter, whose combat scenes remind some players of the gunfights from the "John Wick" film franchise.

The main character combines several professions: during the day, he is an ordinary DVD store manager in New York in 2012, and at night he becomes a ruthless hitman.

During gunfights, the hero will be able to use cover and engage in close combat:

BLACKWOOD's signature mechanic is a huge variety of contextual finishers. From one-on-one hand-to-hand takedowns to using environmental elements: every fight offers a chance to effectively and precisely finish off enemies. A realistic, "weighty", and engaging system to master.

You can add Blackwood to your Steam wishlist by following this link. The game's release is scheduled for September 16, 2026.

There's a nuance: only the first act will be released initially, the second is planned for March 2027, and the third for September of the following year. Each act will feature several main and side missions.

The developers clarified that "by purchasing Blackwood, you get the full version of the game, not just the first act." All subsequent acts will be provided to game owners as free updates.
