In late August, RedRuins Softworks studio and HypeTrain Digital publisher announced the release of Breathedge 2 in Steam Early Access.
The new game is positioned as a humorous space survival adventure. Chronologically, it is a sequel, but the developers clarified that the events in the game "will be equally incomprehensible to both Breathedge veterans and people new to this universe" – so familiarity with the original is not necessary.
Players will get to know Muzhik and his team, explore abandoned stations, ruined settlements, ship wreckage, and many other locations:
Pursued from all sides, the heroes of Breathedge 2 are forced to survive in the harshest conditions on the outskirts of inhabited space. There are no 24-hour stores or banana smoothies here, but there is a sea of duct tape, tons of debris, and Muzhik's golden hands, capable of creating amazing devices from this junk.
The Breathedge 2 page on Steam is available at the following link. The initial reviews for the project are positive, with a 97% rating after several dozen reviews.
The developers plan to release the game when it "is close enough to the full Breathedge 2 we envisioned and we are satisfied with its overall state." They estimate that the path to version 1.0 could take 16 to 20 months, but the timeline may be adjusted.
