The Witcher 3 Remaster Will Support Old Saves - CDPR Discusses Progress Transfer

News 0

CD Projekt RED participated in Gamescom and announced the remaster of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The release is expected in a few weeks, and the developers are gradually revealing technical details.

Some players feared they would have to start a "new game," but the developers reassured them. CD Projekt RED updated its support page and explained that the remaster would support old saves: "Your current saves from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt should work without issues."

However, the developers warned that skill progression and settings would be reset: this is due to changes that will be made to the game and gameplay mechanics. After launching the remaster, players will be able to configure everything.

For achievement hunters, it was clarified that their achievements (and trophies) would be transferred:

The remaster will use shared achievements and trophies with the current versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This means that if you have already unlocked an achievement or trophy, you will not have to unlock it again.

The release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster is expected on September 29.
