Players Found a Way to Beat Modern Warfare 4 Developers' Records
Players quickly broke the records set by Modern Warfare 4 developers on a special course designed to test the new movement system.
The course was originally used by the Infinity Ward team to test and refine movement mechanics. Over time, the developers turned it into a competition: they recorded playthroughs, analyzed them frame by frame, and tried to improve the results.
There was real competition in the studio. We had developers recording their screens and then going back frame by frame trying to improve their times.

After the course was opened to players, developer records quickly began to fall. The community found optimizations that the creators had not foreseen. For example, players learned to perform several actions simultaneously – reloading weapons while jumping and overcoming obstacles.
Such techniques save fractions of a second, which is especially important in the fight for the best result. Infinity Ward was not upset by this; on the contrary, the developers received information on how players use the new movement system. One of the goals was to create a mechanic that allows experienced players to improve their skills while maintaining the ability to play more tactically.
