Microsoft reveals September Game Pass games - including Call of Duty and new RuneScape

Microsoft has revealed the first half of September's Xbox Game Pass additions: among them are Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, SpeedRunners 2, and RuneScape: Dragonwilds, which will also be released on PS Plus Extra and Premium on the same day.

September's Game Pass additions will begin with Shelldiver. On September 3, SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed, where up to eight players can compete on tracks, will be added to the catalog.

On September 4, Dice a Million will appear, and on September 8, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be available on cloud, consoles, and PC. The game includes a Cold War campaign.

On September 10, The Royal Writ and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will be released. The latter will feature a World Stage mode, cross-play, and rollback netcode.

On September 15, RuneScape: Dragonwilds, a cooperative survival game on the continent of Ashenfall, will appear on Game Pass. On the same day, the game will become available to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers.

Leaving Game Pass: on September 6 – NBA 2K26, and on September 15 – Commandos: Origins, Cricket 24, Cyberpunk 2077, Dead Cells, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, Frostpunk 2, Mullet Madjack, Spiritfarer, Superliminal, and Train Sim World 5.
