Over 600 cut lines discovered in Resident Evil 4 remake - they were recorded on PlayStation 5 discs

Modder Keff0 recently discovered many cut lines that didn't make it into the final PC version of the Resident Evil 4 remake:

671 finished voiced lines cut from the Resident Evil 4 remake. All of them are on the PlayStation 5 disc version and are absent from the PC version. The subtitles in the video here are Capcom's own text from that disc, not transcriptions. Each card indicates the game's message ID (top left) so anyone can find that phrase in the PS5 disc files themselves.

Now, all interested fans of the franchise can listen to these lines.

For example, Leon was deprived of both full-length phrases and short lines like "He's not human," "What is that!" or "He's not a zombie." The developers also recorded several lines for the merchant. For instance, the NPC would say, "Oh, I've been expecting you, stranger. Don't be shy!" One of Ashley's lines was very simple: "Got it." It's unknown why these lines were not used.

However, the creators of the Resident Evil 4 remake cut not only character lines but also content. Recently, a modder decided to restore the prologue: it was assumed that players would first play as Ashley Graham. The heroine could have used a smartphone as a light source.
