In early September, a major update 3.2 was released for Dragon's Dogma 2. Initially, Capcom intended to release it in the summer, but there was a slight delay.
The Denuvo protection has been officially removed from the game — some players blame DRM for performance issues. They welcome this decision by Capcom.
In addition, the developers focused on optimizing the game: they implemented various improvements and decided to lower the system requirements for the base Dragon's Dogma 2 and the Dark Arisen Expansion.
Now, players of Dragon's Dogma 2 on PC with a GeForce GTX 1660 and Ryzen 5 3500 (or Intel Core i5-8500) at 1080p resolution with AMD FSR upscaler enabled can expect around 45 FPS.
The recommended settings specify a GeForce RTX 2070 Super graphics card: you can play at 2160p at 45 FPS with NVIDIA DLSS or AMD FSR upscaler.
Capcom is currently preparing Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Expansion, with the expansion scheduled for release on October 9, 2026. The game will add a new location, challenges, additional options for the character editor, and other content. The game is currently on sale: there is a discount on PC and consoles.
