Players Criticized Stellar Blade: Blood Rain - Developers Admitted Mistakes

The developers of Stellar Blade: Blood Rain acknowledged the validity of player criticism after the release of an AI-generated promotional video and promised to change their approach to game promotion.

Shift Up's recent advertising campaign caused a wave of dissatisfaction among players awaiting the Stellar Blade sequel. The studio presented a clip created using artificial intelligence. Users criticized the unnatural appearance of the main character, the changing facial geometry, image glitches, and the overall quality of the video.

Shift Up CTO DongKi Lee admitted that the studio understands the concerns and frustration of players. According to him, the goal was merely to show the atmosphere of the world and characters in an unusual way, but the audience's reaction forced the team to reconsider their approach to communicating with fans.

In the future, the developers intend to clearly separate official materials with gameplay and experimental advertising formats so as not to create a false impression of the project's quality among players. The company also stated that player feedback will influence future trailers for the sequel.
