GTA VI's shooting and movement completely revamped - Rockstar bets on realism
Rockstar will make GTA VI significantly more realistic than GTA V: auto-aim is off by default, weapon recoil is increased, enemies are not automatically marked on the mini-map
GTA VI will feature significant changes to shooting, movement, and NPC behavior – Rockstar will make the game noticeably more realistic than GTA V.
One of the main innovations is the automatic aim being disabled by default. It is currently unknown whether players will be able to enable classic auto-targeting, but settings will allow changing aiming parameters and the strength of the aim's "stickiness" to enemies.
Players will also be able to separately adjust the speed of normal walking and running. The R1 cover system will return, and when aiming, players will be able to switch shoulders, similar to Red Dead Redemption 2.
The shooting itself will become more tactile: weapons will have stronger recoil and a more pronounced reaction to hits. Enemies will not be automatically marked on the mini-map. Kill cameras can be completely disabled.

The weapon carrying system will also change. Jason and Lucia will be able to carry two pistols, and there will be restrictions with long weapons. NPCs will take into account the number of weapons the character has and whether they are holding them. This is especially true for the police: one gun might trigger a warning, while several can quickly escalate the situation.
