Is StarCraft 3 or WoW Classic+ announcement coming? BlizzCon schedule with suspicious gap appears

News 0

Blizzard Entertainment has published the schedule for the upcoming BlizzCon event. Nothing unusual – it has long been known that the company planned to hold the festival this year. However, a recent "insider" tip from a source in the gaming industry told the media that negotiations are currently underway to sell the rights to the StarCraft franchise – allegedly, South Korean developers might create a new installment of the franchise.

Against this backdrop, one detail in the published schedule caught players' attention. First on the list is a 45-minute presentation, "World of Warcraft: What's Next," dedicated to the future of the MMORPG project. Then there is a one-hour gap, followed by a presentation from Diablo developers.

This is the only such "gap" in the published BlizzCon schedule, leading players to suspect that the developers might be preparing some announcement.

There is an opinion that this section could be dedicated to a hypothetical StarCraft 3. Another option is also possible: it could be an announcement related to World of Warcraft.

Recently, rumors have been actively circulating about the so-called "Camelot" project – its mention was found in the code of WoW updates. It is assumed that this is another version of WoW Classic or "Classic+".

Blizzard Entertainment's lawyers are actively shutting down fan servers, so the appearance of another official WoW server with changes seems quite logical.
