Acer Showcases Project DualPlay Mini Concept - A Portable Console That Transforms into a Mini-Laptop
Acer has unveiled Project DualPlay Mini – a conceptual device from the Predator brand with an 8-inch screen that redefines the possibilities of the portable gaming console form factor.

For gaming, Project DualPlay Mini supports two control configurations. The built-in backlit physical keyboard provides a traditional "laptop mode" for first-person shooters, while the portable gaming mode offers a console experience for other genres.

For work, the gadget functions as a mobile workstation, capable of connecting to an external display, allowing users to remain productive on the go without the need for a second device. Project DualPlay Mini features a unique swivel-and-tilt design that transforms it from portable mode to mini-laptop mode and back.

In honor of Acer's 50th anniversary, the phrase "Acer 50 since 1976" is engraved on the back panel in Morse code – a detail reflecting both a significant milestone in the company's history and the Predator brand identity.

This device also uses the same dual-fan cooling architecture as the Predator Atlas 8 – with one Predator AeroBlade metal fan and one plastic fan – with the difference that the metal fan features even thinner blades.
Project DualPlay Mini remains a concept for now, so Acer representatives are not yet ready to announce the full list of specifications, price, pre-order opening date, or release date.
