Recently, Liquid Swords studio reminded about the console versions of Samson, A Tyndalston Story. The developers released a new trailer for the crime action game and revealed the release date.
Previously, the game was released on PC and was criticized for various shortcomings. The developers studied community feedback and began actively releasing patches for the game: additional content was added to Samson, A Tyndalston Story, as well as bug fixes, various gameplay and camera improvements were implemented. Over time, the game also received an official Russian localization (text).
Now, explains the head of the Liquid Swords team, Samson, A Tyndalston Story will be released on consoles with all previously released updates.
The release of Samson, A Tyndalston Story on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles is scheduled for September 21, 2026.
Technical specifications were also revealed:
- Xbox Series S – target frame rate 30 FPS
- Xbox Series X – 2 modes: "Quality" with target 30 FPS and "Performance" with target 60 FPS
- PlayStation 5 – 2 modes: "Quality" with target 30 FPS and "Performance" with target 60 FPS
- PlayStation 5 Pro – 2 modes: "Quality" with target 30 FPS and "Performance" with target 60 FPS. Both modes have higher quality graphics than the PS5 version.
Currently, the game still has "mixed" reviews on Steam, with a rating of 54% after more than 3 thousand reviews.
