Not all players have bought The Witcher 3 yet - CDPR sees sales growth after a series of announcements

News

Many years later, new buyers are still being found.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been on the market for many years, with several expansions already released – Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine – and it's available on PC and various consoles. After so many years and numerous sales, one might assume that "everyone who wanted to has bought the game," but this is not the case.

Recently, the CD Projekt RED team participated in Gamescom: during the event, the developers not only showed a new story expansion, Songs of the Past, but also a remaster of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Such announcements once again drew attention to the game – CD Projekt RED CFO Piotr Nielubowicz reported that the company began to record sales growth. However, he did not disclose the specific number of copies sold.

The release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt remaster is expected on September 29, 2026. The story expansion Songs of the Past does not yet have a specific release date, but the release window is known – 2027. A full new installment of The Witcher 4 franchise is planned for release in 2028.
