Marvel's Wolverine leaked two weeks before release - Insomniac's new game is being played and streamed
Some individuals managed to get very early access.
Marvel's Wolverine is set to be released in a couple of weeks, but some have already had the opportunity to play Insomniac Games' new project. First, plot and content spoilers began to appear online, and now full gameplay demonstrations have been added to the details.
The situation escalated to the point where playthroughs of Marvel's Wolverine began to be openly streamed even before the official release. The internet noticed one streamer who started broadcasting on various platforms — he positioned himself as "the first person to play the new game."
What was happening was clearly noticed by Sony's lawyers, as measures were soon taken against his accounts, and now viewers are greeted with a message:
At the request of the copyright owner, the material on this channel has been removed.
The streamer did not disclose how he managed to obtain an early copy of Marvel's Wolverine. However, users noted that he had previously reported having a CDL (Commercial Driver's License) certificate — in the USA, this is a driver's license required to operate commercial vehicles. If this is indeed the case, he might work as a courier and thus had the opportunity to pick up a copy of the game. However, there is no full proof yet.
The official release of Marvel's Wolverine is expected on September 15 of this year on PlayStation 5 consoles.
