Final Fantasy VII Revelation will receive two story expansions dedicated to Sephiroth and Vincent, with their release planned between winter 2027 and spring 2028.
The plans became known after yesterday's State of Play. Game director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed the development of the DLC:
After the announcement of Final Fantasy VII Revelation, we received many requests for DLC from fans and media representatives, so we decided to create them. Instead of announcing them only after release, we wanted to share our plans before the main game's launch. We will delve deeper into the stories of Sephiroth and Vincent. We hope you look forward to it.
The expansions are called Sephiroth and Vincent & the Trucks. They will be included in expanded editions and the Expansion Pass, and will also be sold separately.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation will be released simultaneously on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on April 8, 2027.
