Denuvo in Mortal Kombat 1 Fully Cracked Without Hypervisor

The protection lasted several years, but a well-known hacker finally turned their attention to the fighting game.

Several years ago, NetherRealm Studios, QLOC, and Warner Bros. Games released Mortal Kombat 1 on consoles and PC. The new installment of the fighting game franchise on PC was protected with the infamous Denuvo — some players associate performance issues with this DRM.

An effective method to bypass the protection using a hypervisor has existed for a long time, but not all players approve of this, as it requires disabling PC security systems to run. However, recently, a hacker under the nickname voices38 returned and announced that they had dealt with Denuvo in Mortal Kombat 1 — this is a full crack of the fighting game.

Overall, reviews for Mortal Kombat 1 on Steam are "mostly positive," with a 72% rating. Over the past years, NetherRealm Studios has released a series of DLCs for the game with new fighters. The game featured both old franchise heroes and guest characters from other projects, such as Omni-Man from "Invincible" and Homelander from "The Boys."

Earlier this year, franchise creator Ed Boon mentioned in an interview that the team is thinking not only about a new Mortal Kombat installment but also about other projects. He did not go into details.
