Halloween: The Game is set to be released on consoles and PC in a few days, but some are already playing. Developers are providing premium early access to players who pre-ordered the more expensive Deluxe Edition.
However, there's a catch. The game was released with standard DRM protection, so hackers quickly cracked it and leaked it online.
Halloween: The Game is an asymmetrical horror game based on John Carpenter's classic film. Matches are played in a "1 vs 4" format: four Haddonfield hero players must team up and fight the legendary killer Michael Myers.
Developers from IllFonic studio have also prepared single-player content for Halloween: The Game: "immerse yourself in the twists and turns of 'The Night He Came Home' from Michael Myers' perspective in a separate single-player story."
The full release of Halloween: The Game is scheduled for September 8, 2026, on PC, as well as Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles. The game has received official Russian localization (text + interface).
Peak online players on Steam in early access exceeded 25 thousand, and the first reviews are "mixed." Players note technical problems (poor optimization) and bugs.
