Windows Central journalist Jez Corden reported that he received information from a reliable source and even saw project materials. According to him, StarCraft will become a single-player shooter with a story campaign. Corden was shown cutscenes, voice-over fragments, and gameplay.
Battles will take place in third-person, and in terms of presentation and combat system, the project reminded the journalist of Space Marine 2. He described the graphics as a high-quality combination of photorealism and Blizzard's characteristic stylization.
However, the materials shown were from a fairly old version of the game, so the current version may differ significantly. In addition to the single-player campaign, co-op, regular multiplayer, and a wave-based enemy defense mode are being considered. Corden also mentioned options reminiscent of Gears of War and Helldivers.
